Crime Blotter Nov. 1-7

Vandalism

On Nov. 1, at 8:30 p.m., a female called the police department to report her 2006 Infiniti had been vandalized. She said she parked her vehicle in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard on at 6:30 p.m. that day and when she returned 45 minutes later, noticed her driver’s side door had been scratched.

Residential burglary

On Nov. 2, at 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the 10900 block of Fairbanks Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party, who said he and his construction crew left the location secured on at 7 p.m. the day before. He returned the next morning and discovered their tools were missing from the location.

On Nov. 3, at 12:45 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Reid Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. They met with the victim, who said he left his locked residence at 5 p.m. the day before. He returned the next day at 12:30 p.m. and discovered a window screen on the ground and the window unsecured. He entered the location and discovered property missing.

Battery

On Nov. 6, at 12:45 a.m., officers responded to the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding an assault and battery. The officers met with a female, who said she met the suspect at the location and when she wanted to leave the person got angry and struck her several times. The assailant then fled the location.

Robbery

On Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 13400 Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. They met with a male, who said he was sitting at a table when two suspects approached him. He said he was in fear for his safety as they drew near. They took his laptop away from him and fled on foot.
