In addition to adopting a resolution approving the 2010-2011 fiscal year budget, the Culver City City Council took action on a number of items during its most recent meeting Monday, June 14.
The council voted unanimously in favor of appointments to the Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Civil Service Commission, Cultural Affairs Commission, Disability Advisory Committee, Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board and Baldwin Hills Community Advisory Panel.
Seats remain open on the Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board for tenant representatives and a member-at-large representative. Applications are available through the city clerk’s office, located at City Hall at 9770 Culver Blvd.
In other business the council:
• Voted 5-0 to adopt resolutions approving engineer reports regarding the Albright Avenue Lighting Assessment District and the Sewer User’s Service Charge for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.
• Voted 5-0 to approve a memorandum of understanding between the Culver City Redevelopment Agency and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority regarding the use of a right-of-way adjacent to the Washington National Transit Oriented Development Project.
• Voted 5-0 to ask Interim City Manager P. Lamont Ewell to prepare and execute a letter requesting that Metro rename the Venice/Robertson Station the Culver City Station.
