Two police officers were injured when their patrol car crashed into a sign near Culver City. The crash occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 4200 block of Centinela Avenue, a sergeant with the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division said.

Firefighters took the officers out of the vehicle and treated them at the scene. The officers were then taken by ambulances to a nearby hospital, according to reports. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The officers were reportedly responding to another officer’s request for assistance.
