Classic cars cruise into Culver City | Thu, Oct 07 2010 12:30 PM

The Culver City High School Boosters Club will host a classic car show free to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to view an eclectic collection of vehicles, enjoy local cuisine, shop local vendors and clubs, and enjoy entertainment by local performers.

The event, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will feature classic customs, low-riders, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles. Trophies will be awarded to several of the best in show. Vehicle entrants are still being accepted at the early entrant rate of $25 until Oct. 15.

Local bands, including Paper Rain, will perform on stage and AMP Radio 97.1 will broadcast from the show. Food will be served up by El Pollo Loco and the local food truck scene, including Komodo and The Flying Pig. School Clubs and local vendors will offer their wares and donated items will be raffled off throughout the event.

The event is sponsored by the Culver City News, Goldrich & Kest Industries, John Riordan Plumbing and Culver City Volvo. The Culver City High School Boosters Club is a non-profit organization of parents and other community volunteers committed to supporting our students involved in sports and extracurricular programs. The Boosters Club recently announced a $20,000 contribution to the school to offset the severe cuts to the athletic department’s transportation budget.

Information about registering a car, sponsoring the event or securing a vendor space can be found at cchsboosters.com, which accepts Paypal.
