Bargain vintage boutique visits Helms District

Vintage enthusiasts rejoice —the Helms Design District Vintage Boutiqueis making a comeback to provide quality vintage clothing and accessories.

Classic garment retailer and host Clever Vintage Clothing and more than 16 other dealers of classic wear will convene once again at LightSpace Studio in Culver City.

“Last year’s bargain boutique was an experiment, and we received such an overwhelmingly positive response from it that we immediately knew we should make it an annual occurrence,” said Dave C. Temple, owner of Clever Vintage Clothing.

For those privy to the odd sizes of vintage apparel, a seamstress will be available to help re-size or repair your new duds, and will even work while you shop. Attendees also have a shot to win a $50 Clever Vintage Clothing gift card in a raffle. Racks filled with $10 and $20 finds hold much promise to bargain hunters.

The event costs $5 at the door, but free and/or discounted tickets are available first come, first serve on helmsvintage.eventbrite.com. Interested parties can visit CleverVintageClothing.com.

Dave C. Temple began Clever Vintage Clothing in 1991 and soon after opened up a showroom in Downtown Los Angeles. He has provided clothing for shows like Mad Men and Pan Am.
