Ballona art, panel on future visioning at W. Los Angeles

A Culver City Centennial exhibition about the Ballona Creek is among the featured artworks that are on display at the West Los Angeles Art Gallery.

Sponsored by the nonprofit environmental group Ballona Creek Renaissance, Up the Creek! Ballona Watershed and Art will be showing through April 6.

On March 23, there will be a panel discussion about Ballona wildlife, art, watershed, and future visioning. The panel will include City Councilman Thomas Small, former Ballona Creek Renaissance President James Lamm, Marian Curtis Tidwell and Lucy Blake- Elahi. Molly Barnes will be the panel’s moderator.

Light refreshments will be provided.

According to the Ballona Creek Renaissance, the art show, which opened on March 2, drew approximately 100 people.

The featured artists in UPTHE Creek! are Francois Bardol, Lucy Blake-Elahi, Christophe Cassidy, Guy Dill, Lori Escalera, Danielle Eubank, Bruria Finkel, Brett Goldstone, Blake Hottle, Don Merkt, Jeanette Vosburg and Pat Warner.
