             Doozy, a band specializing in music of the 1920s and 1930s, will be featured at the Culver City Historical Society’s Doozy of a Do fundraiser and celebration of the city’s 94-year history at the newly renovated Historic Culver Hotel at 9400 Washington Blvd., Culver City, on Sunday, Sept.18, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

            The community is invited to enjoy music and dancing, a bountiful array of appetizers and desserts, historic cocktails at the no-host bar, raffle prizes and auction, silent movies and more.

            Admission is $45 in advance or $50 at the door. Checks for reservations should be sent to the Culver City Historical Society, box 3428, Culver City, CA, 90231-3428.

            Proceeds from the event will help preserve Culver City history and benefit the CCHS’s Museum/Archive and Resource Center.
