Summertime Cinema invites families starting July 15

Westfield Culver City is going back to the movies with its annual Summertime Cinema event.

Every Friday beginning July 15 until Aug. 12, Westfield Culver City will host movie night on a large screen in the Promenade area, screening five of the biggest family-friendly films in recent years. Along with each screening will be tie-in activities and a raffle for prizes.

Interested attendees are encouraged to bring a low chair or blanket and favorite snacks. Admission is free.

The event kicks off Friday, July 15 with a screening of “Enchanted,” with a live jazz trio and Princess Giselle will host a David’s Tea—Princess Tea Party.

On July 22, “Inside Out” will be screened with a Steel Drum —World Music.

“Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” will take center stage on July 29 with live steel drum music.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakes,” featuring a live jazz trio and balloon artist, who will create light sabers, is planned for Aug. 5.

Summertime Cinema will finish off with a screening of “Lilo & Stitch,” and guests will be further entertained with Polynesian dancers, live drummers and a mini-Hula dance class.

Westfield Culver City is located at 6000 Sepulveda Blvd in Culver City.
