Police department responds to several crimes

Grand Theft Auto:

On Feb. 2 officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard to investigate the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim told the officers she parked her 2003 Lincoln in a parking lot at 11:15 a.m. She returned to the area at 2:30 p.m. and learned her car had been stolen.

Commercial Burglary:

On Jan. 30 at about 6:15 a.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of Helms to investigate a burglary. Sometime between Jan. 29 at about 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following day, the sus-pect used a tool to defeat the door lock and access the build-ing. Once inside of the busi-ness, the suspects stole a safe and fled the scene.

Bicycle Theft:

On Jan. 29 at about 12:10 a.m., a victim called the station to report that his bicycle had been stolen. The victim left his bike locked and secured to a bicycle rack near the 9600 block of Culver Boulevard on Jan. 28 at about 6:30 p.m. When he returned to the area at mid-night his bike had been stolen.

Vehicle Burglary:

On Jan. 31 at about 7:10 p.m. officers received a call to meet with a victim of a vehicle burglary on the 4800 block of Maytime. The victim parked her 1988 Daihatsu in the sub-terranean parking structure on Jan. 30 at about 10 a.m. She returned to the car the next day at about 4 p.m. and learned that someone stole her car battery.

Theft from Vehicle:

On Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. a vic-tim called the station to report that someone stole a set of golf clubs from his 2002 Mercedes Benz. The victim parked his vehicle at 5990 Green Val-ley Circle on Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. When he returned to his car on Jan. 31 at 8 a.m., he learned that someone entered it and stole his golf clubs. The victim did not remember whether or not he locked his car.
