Los Angeles police arrested a Culver City man last month for alleged inappropriate conduct with a group of minors.

Donald Condon, 55, was taken into custody by officers from the Los Angeles Police Dept. on May 30 for misdemeanor child annoyance. Condon, who works for the city of Santa Monica, was chaperoning a group of students at an outing at Dodger Stadium during a Santa Monica Police Activities League activity.

Condon was placed on administrative leave from the Santa Monica on June 2, according to a release from Santa Monica Police Lt. Jay Moroso.

“The city takes this situation very seriously and is cooperating with the Los Angeles authorities,” Moroso states in the release. “The city took immediate action to inform the families of those youth who participated in the outing and will continue to take steps to insure the wellbeing of the youth.”

Under California law, a person who is convicted of child annoyance faces the possibility of a year in jail as well as fines.

Condon was released on $20,000 bail on My 31. He is scheduled to appear at the LAX Branch Courthouse on June 25.
