CCPD arrest Petco Unleashed robbery suspect

Using departmental resources, the investigating detective identified the Petco Unleashed suspect and obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence, leading to his arrest. On Sept. 18 at approximately 8:40 p.m. a male, white suspect walked into the Petco Unleashed located ta 13411 Washington Blvd. and demanded that the cashier give him all the money in the cash register while pointing a silver revolver at her. The cashier complied and the suspect fled the business eastbound though the parking lot toward Glencoe Avenue. The suspect, who was wearing a very distinctive Army Airborne sweatshirt and is also carrying a blue fabric shopping bag that was sold at Albertson’s, fled the scene. The warrant served led to numerous items of evidence linking the suspect to the crime being recovered from his home. The subject was placed under arrest for robbery, and later confessed to the crime.

Burglary suspect arrested, property recovered

On Sept. 24 at approximately 6 a.m. a burglary occurred at a nail salon located at 3915 S. Sepulveda Blvd. The suspect, who was caught on surveillance video, stole the salon’s ATM machine and other electronics. Armed only with grainy video images, Culver City Detectives immediately began to investigate the crime. At approximately 2:30 p.m., detectives located the suspect, a career criminal and drug addict, at a local motel. The ATM, which was still intact, and other evidence, was recovered from the suspect’s room. He was arrested and booked at the Culver City Police Department for burglary.
